Aishwarya on her films: Lot of them were meant to bring change in perception and open avenues

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shocked her buffs with her bold act in the super hit movie, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

She donned the character of Saba in the flick, who was liked by one and all, looked modish and oozed out charisma and maturity in her best performance.

There was huge ruckus regarding Aishwarya’s interpersonal chemistry with chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor after the promo hit the screens.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan spoke to a media and stated, “It’s so liberating to have played Saba, not for the obvious reasons. I knew I was playing a character integral to the narrative and yet the character was not the obvious leading lady, which was a first. Again, I was fearlessly making that choice. People could have reacted with: Does that mean you are now going to play character roles? That as a conversation could have started. And even today I’m saying it. But the reactions were different; I was lauded for doing that part.”

And the ace filmmaker Karan Johar stated, “I wouldn’t have had Saba without you.”

“Even though I have never announced it, a lot of my choices from the ‘90s until now were meant to bring about change in perception and open avenues for all of us. Today it’s good to see actors make choices across the board and not being slotted. At the time when I was doing it, I was shaking up the regular,” Bachchan Bahu stated.

On her next project, Fanne Khan with ace stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, an elated Ash stated, “Today, when I’m doing Fanne Khan, again, it’s not a full blown part but the idea of the role is strong.”

Bollywood superstar and ex-Miss World is ready to star in the forthcoming romantic flick that will be helmed by ace person Rohan Sippy.

This is Aishwarya’s second project with Rohan after they teamed up during 2003’s ‘Kuch Naa Kaho’.

As per Indian media reports, a source close to the project disclosed, “The thriller will be centred around Aishwarya’s character. It will also have a younger romantic lead, two popular stars, alongside Aishwarya. But she will play the main protagonist.”
