5 Films where many Scenes were deleted by Censor Board or by Director itself

The Bollywood film industry has given many amazing films that remains with the audience over a decade. Be it actor’s performance, songs or maybe a minor performance they all entertain everyone in their own way.

Simultaneously, there are many scenes in the films that are not broadcasted or we can call it they are being deleted from the film. Yes, Censor Board says it is they who thought that the movie can also be worked without those scenes.

Here a list of the scenes that are being deleted from many films, take a look.

1. Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Hate Story‘ directed by Vivek Agnihotri faced a lot of criticism from the Censor Board. Many scenes from the film were deleted because of its sexual contents and bold scenes. The film had managed to take Bollywood’s eroticism to another level.

2. In the film ‘Dedh Ishqiya‘ which is the sequel to the film ‘Ishqiya’. The scene was deleted by the censor board, however, despite strict orders from the CBFC, director Vishal Bhardwaj retained this scene, where Warsi visits a house of prostitution and received a lot of fame from the Censor Board. But this scene was available in the pirated version.

3. ‘Shootout at Wadala‘ featured John Abraham and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles and it was the sequel to ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’. The film was given an ‘A’ certificate for the language and scenes used. Kangana and John’s lovemaking scene was cut short by a period of time.

4. DDLJ, the film had a very different introductory part. The scene was where Kajol was seen taking steam with her head covered by a dupatta. Suddenly Farida Jalal who plays Kajol’s mother in the film enters the room. She then scolds Kajol and tells her that there’s no need for her to try and whiten her complexion.

5. Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer film ‘Heroine‘ had many scenes that CBFC wanted to be deleted but somehow they managed to delete a sex scene featuring Arjun Rampal and Kareena which was also removed from the final edit of the film. Some scenes apparently featured Kareena smoking cigarettes. Those scenes were asked to be removed by the CBFC. But they remained the same.
