Here’s reason why Farah Khan denied choreographing all songs of DDLJ

Ace movie maker Karan Johar has stated that well-known choreographer-film producer Farah Khan is very much talented that she said no to engage in Yash Raj Films’ 1995 big movie project “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” (DDLJ) as she had already taken up a Marathi film.

While shooting an episode for “India’s Next Superstars”, KJo, one of the show’s reviewers, couldn’t stop himself from admiring Farah after challenger Shruti Sharma paid a special mark of respect to her through her great performance, read a report.

“I love Farah. She is so professional and determined with what she wants. I remember we were shooting for DDLJ when (filmmakers) Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra personally called for Farah to choreograph all the songs,” the ace filmmaker stated.

“It’s everyone’s dream to work with these two biggies at some point in their careers and Farah was getting this opportunity at a very early stage. She refused to take up the project as she had committed to do a Marathi film. That’s the level of commitment she has,” he also said.

The film’s squad later filmed for the number “Ruk ja o dil deewane” in India for which a well-known choreographer was signed.

At present, fortifying their professional connection, Karan Johar has appointed Farah Khan to choreograph the hit number Zhingaat for Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor’s debut movie, Dhadak.

Helmed by well-known personality Shashank Khaitan, Dhadak is the Hindi remake of Nagraj Manjule’s mega-hit Marathi film, Sairat.

The original composed by Ajay-Atul, Zhingaat turned out to be the most popular song from the popular album of Sairat and had the whole country shaking legs to its beautiful beats.
